International Spelling Alphabet
Phonetic alphabet for international communication where it is sometimes important to provide correct information.
In many languages the spelling of an alphabet is different and vary greatly.
To provide correct information between people with a different language background one might use a spelling alphabet, where every letter and number is described by a word, like America for "A", Banana for "B" and so on. Sometimes it is just not enough to spell for example a complicated name correctly then you can use a spelling alphabet to do the job.
There are several spelling alphabets in use in international radiotelephony. The most widely used spelling alphabet is the NATO phonetic alphabet, which is also used in aviation like in communication between a pilot and the control tower.
It is the Alpha, Bravo, Charlie alphabet you might have heard of. but maybe not the Thai company employee or the Egyptian medical secretary with just a little understanding of English, therefore we provide as well a list of simple English words which can describe a letter.
